About Sawdust Sessions

Who We Are

Sawdust Sessions is a small, independent woodworking resource. We're not a big media company, we're not a brand, and we're not affiliated with any of the products we review. It exists because searching for project plans keeps landing on pages with three sentences, a stock photo, and a blurry cut list.

A plan that leaves out one measurement costs you a Saturday and a length of timber. That is the problem we are trying to solve: every project here carries a complete cut list and dimensions you can actually work from, and every guide explains the step people usually get wrong.

What We Publish

Three things, and we take all three seriously:

• Project ideas and build walkthroughs — complete projects with real dimensions and honest notes on where they get tricky. Not "inspiration" content. Actual useful material.
• Honest reviews of woodworking resources — when we review a plan library, a course, or a tool, we tell you what's genuinely good about it and what to watch out for. We name cons. We don't soft-pedal problems to protect a commission.
• Guides and technique breakdowns — joinery, finishing, tool selection. Aimed at the person who's competent enough to build but hasn't memorized every technique yet.

How We Make Money

Sawdust Sessions is reader-supported through affiliate commissions. When you click a link to a product or plan library we recommend and make a purchase, we may earn a commission — at no extra cost to you. This is how we pay for hosting, time, and the occasional ruined board that turned into a useful lesson.

We participate in affiliate programs including ClickBank. We are not the creator or owner of any product we review, and this site is not affiliated with any product manufacturer or publisher. If an affiliate relationship affects how we cover something, we'll say so. If a product isn't worth recommending, we don't recommend it. Simple policy, and we intend to keep it that way.

The Honest Version of Why This Exists

There are a lot of woodworking affiliate sites out there. Most of them are thin, hypey bridge pages that exist purely to funnel clicks. We built Sawdust Sessions to be the version of that site we'd actually want to land on: one that treats you like an intelligent adult, gives you real content, and earns your trust before asking for anything.
